Francis University was established in Southern California, more specifically, in the heart of Los Angeles, in January of 2012 by group of Christian scholars and pastors to serve the growing immigrant churches and communities in Southern California.
Francis University offers its undergraduate and graduate programs. The degree program has received verification of religious exemption status by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) under the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Francis University will also pursue accreditation though the regional and national accreditation agencies (such as WASC, ABHE, or TRACS) that are recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
